Notch Hill and Enos Lake : On Saturday, March 29th, 2008, John Butterworth led the Club up to the top of Notch Hill in Nanoose Bay for the wonderful views of Nanoose Harbour and the Garry Oak meadows and then later went over to Enos Lake as well. Here are some of their images from that day.

Butterfly World and the Parrot Refuge in Coombs : On Sunday, March 30th, 7 members of the Club braved an early morning snowstorm and headed up to Butterfly World and the Parrot Refuge in Coombs for some indoor shooting. Here are some of their images from that trip.

Pacific Northwest Raptors : On Sunday, April 20th, 2008, the Club visited the Pacific Northwest Raptors Center in Duncan. We saw a Golden Eagle, several Bald Eagles, Falcons, Hawks, and Owls. The Center gives a great flying demonstration as well as letting you see the birds closeup.

Pipers Lagoon Sunrise Field Trip : The HCPC Members who arrended this Field Trip,,,,The Early Birds,,,,were at the site at 6:30 A.M. As senn by the images they were all too busy to be cold or tired. A great learning experience was had by both new and senior members on this day

Nanaimo Christmas Lights 2008 : There were many Christmas Light Displays in Nanaimo waiting to be photographed. A Field Trip was organized with 8 Members wanting to participate but because of weather and road conditions the Field Trip was cancelled and re-scheduled twice. Alas, the weather would not comply. However, these members still wanted to participate and went out individually in their own areas and where ever they managed to get to and took some photographs. By popular request, this gallery was put up for these members to share their images. Enjoy....Please Note...comments are welcome
